The L'Aligot dish

aligot Posted by Hello

This was a really special dish we partook during early dinner in Rodez. Apparently it is a speciality of the mid-pyrenees region. L'Aligot is a potato-based, garlicky and good, halfway between mashed potato and fondue. It's best accompanied by a large glass of wine. We took it as a side dish together with some roast chicken.

By the way, for the breakfast the following day we had a wide assortment of cheese and most of them were variations of blue cheese since Roquefort is just the next city.

We were told not to take that much since it is really heavy without seeming so. Hope I will be able to try it again sometime in the future.
